John Wayne Airport

25 minutes from wedding venue
If you are traveling by air, this is our recommended airport to fly into. It is the closest airport to the wedding venue.
San Diego International Airport
SAN
1 hour 15 minutes from wedding venue
If you’re planning to visit San Diego during your stay, you can also fly into SAN. We’d be happy to share recommendations for places to explore in our city!
If you plan on taking the train from SAN to San Juan Capistrano, you will need to take a bus from the airport to the Old Town Amtrak Station, where you will be able to take the northbound train. Information and schedules can be found at the link below.
Los Angeles International Airport
LAX
1 hour 10 minutes from wedding venue
LAX is a larger airport and is also an option with a reasonable drive to the wedding venue, pending traffic!
Union Station is a quick Uber ride from LAX (depending on traffic), where you can take the train from LA to San Juan Capistrano, and it’s a great way to avoid Los Angeles traffic. Information and schedules are available at the link below.
Train
If you are traveling from San Diego or Los Angeles to the wedding, the Pacific Surfliner is a great option for transportation and also a great alternative to renting a car. There are daily trains from both locations, as well as their airports, and it will take you directly to San Juan Capistrano. It’s also a great way to see the beautiful coastline!
If you are staying at Inn at the Mission, give them a call to schedule your free pick-up from the train station. Just mention the Poulos-McCann Wedding!
